PARTICIPATION PREREQUISITES:
Ages 8 and younger must be able to demonstrate ability to swim 25 yards, using any stroke unassisted and treading water for 1 minute.
Ages 9 and older must be able to demonstrate ability to swim 50 yards, using any stroke unassisted and treading water for 1 minute.
PRACTICES:
June 22nd through July 25th (5 weeks)
Mondays - Fridays: 8:00 am to 9:30 am **after the first week of practice**
MEETS:
Meets are held on Thursday nights starting June 25th (See Schedule page).
These meets are held at all team pools and normally start at 6 pm and go until about 10:00. Warm ups will begin approximately around 5 pm.
Championship meet is held at Wenatchee City Pool.
FEE:
$100 Registration fee includes a QST swim cap
Fundraiser opportunities occur outside of the swim team season. This is a great way to reduce the cost of your child's registration fees.
Team Gear:
Team swimsuits can be purchased from swimoutlet.com. Click on the link to go directly to the team suits. Team suits are not required. We are currently using the Sporti brand suit, black with kelly green details. It is helpful to have Quincy swimmers in the same or similar colored suits at meets.
Team swim suits do not have to be worn at practice but athletic cut swimsuits are helpful to make swimming more efficient.
Goggles are not required to swim but are highly encouraged. Swimmers are more likely to put their face in the water if they have goggles.
